Garage & Extension Roofs

A flat roof in Scotton that pools water after rain, or has blistered and cracked, is usually close to the end of its life. The old covering and any rotten decking come off, new boards go down, and the roof is finished in felt or GRP.

Evian Roofing lays felt and GRP roofs in Knaresborough, Harrogate and Wetherby too. Call 0800 158 8240 to arrange a visit.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Us for Your Flat Roof

Flat roofs in Scotton built from the deck up, with the fall and the edges done right.

Built From the Deck Up

Sound decking and a proper fall go down before the covering, because that is what stops water sitting on the roof.

Felt, Rubber or GRP

Torch-on felt, rubber membrane or GRP fibreglass, chosen to suit the shape of the roof and how it is going to be used.

Edges Done Right

Upstands, trims and outlets are sealed and detailed, since that is where most flat roof leaks begin.

The Owner on the Job

Evian Roofing is owner run, so the person who quotes your flat roof is the person responsible for the work.

How Do I Get a Quote for Flat Roofs in Scotton?

Fill in the quote form at the top of this page with your postcode and the service you need, or call 0800 158 8240. A visit is arranged to look at the roof before the quote is prepared.

What Is the Difference Between a Felt & GRP Flat Roof?

Torch-on felt is laid in layers that are heat bonded together, and it copes well with foot traffic. GRP fibreglass is laid as matting and resin that cures into one hard skin with no joints, which suits roofs with awkward corners and details. Both last well when they are laid on sound decking with a proper fall.

Can My Flat Roof Be Repaired Instead of Replaced?

If the problem is a local split, blister or failed seam and the decking is sound, a repair is often enough. If the covering is worn across the whole roof or the boards underneath have gone soft, replacement is the better option.

Why Does Water Pool on My Flat Roof?

Pooling usually means the decking has sagged or the roof was laid without enough fall. Standing water puts extra strain on every joint, so a replacement corrects the fall as part of the job.

Do You Replace Garage & Extension Roofs?

Yes. Garage roofs and single storey extensions are typical flat roofs, and both are replaced in felt, rubber or GRP fibreglass.
