Fibreglass Flat Roofing

A GRP fibreglass roof is formed on site, which makes it a neat fit for awkward flat roofs in Horsforth. Cracks in an existing GRP roof can often be repaired by bonding new matting and resin over them.

If your roof is in Yeadon, Pudsey and Guiseley, the same service applies. Call 0800 158 8240.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Us for a GRP Roof

Fibreglass roofs in Horsforth formed carefully on a sound, well-drained deck.

Finished GRP flat roof with a roof lantern

One Seam-Free Covering

Matting and resin cure into one hard skin across the roof, with no joints in the field for water to work into.

Suits Awkward Shapes

Formed in place, GRP follows bays, corners and upstands neatly where sheet coverings need cuts and joints.

A Clean Finish

The coloured top coat gives a smooth, tidy surface that looks right on extensions that are seen every day.

Owner Run

Evian Roofing is owner run, so the person who quotes your fibreglass roof is responsible for how it is laid.

How It Works

How a GRP Roof Is Formed

The usual stages of a fibreglass roof. GRP needs dry weather to lay and cure, so timing follows the forecast.

01

Tell Us About the Roof

Call or send the form with what the roof covers and whether it has any bays, corners or awkward details.

02

Roof Checked

The deck, fall, edges and upstands are checked so the GRP goes onto a sound, well-drained base.

03

Your Quote

You receive a quote for the fibreglass roof, including new decking where it is needed.

04

GRP Laid

New boards go down, then the matting and resin, the trims and the coloured top coat.

FAQs

Fibreglass Roofs FAQs

Do You Cover Horsforth?

Yes. Horsforth in West Yorkshire is one of the areas Evian Roofing covers, along with nearby Yeadon, Pudsey and Guiseley. Call 0800 158 8240 with your postcode to arrange a visit.

How Do I Get a Quote for Fibreglass Roofs in Horsforth?

Fill in the quote form at the top of this page with your postcode and the service you need, or call 0800 158 8240. A visit is arranged to look at the roof before the quote is prepared.

What Is a GRP Fibreglass Roof?

GRP stands for glass reinforced plastic. Glass-fibre matting is laid on the roof deck and soaked in resin, which cures into a single hard covering, finished with a coloured top coat.

What Is the Difference Between a Fibreglass & a Rubber Roof?

Fibreglass is formed on site and cures hard, which suits awkward shapes and areas on show. Rubber is a flexible membrane laid with few or no joints. Both work well on garages and extensions laid on sound decking.

Can a Fibreglass Roof Take Foot Traffic?

A GRP roof can take light foot traffic for things like cleaning windows or gutters. If a roof will see regular foot traffic, that is discussed when the roof is quoted.

Can a Fibreglass Roof Be Repaired?

Cracks and damaged areas in an existing GRP roof can often be repaired by bonding new matting and resin over them. Widespread cracking or soft decking usually means replacement is the better option.
